Revolution Fall 4-3 to Valley Junior Warriors

WARMINSTER, PA - The Eastern Hockey League Philadelphia Revolution fell to the Valley Junior Warriors by a 4-3 score.

The Revolution rallied at two different points in the game to tie the score with two goals from Ken Tencza and one from Zachary England.  But, a Shane Tracy goal at 15:20 of the third period sealed the win for the visiting club.

"It was a hard-fought game on both sides," said EHL Revolution Head Coach James Laux.  "Having said that, we have an issue of not knowing what to expect when we and the opposition have the puck.  We got knocked around early, and that's what made them capitalize on easy goals."

Goaltender Jacob Caffrey received the loss in net, stopping 39 of 43 shots on goal.

Despite the loss, the Revolution's special teams units played strong.  After going 0-for-10 on the man advantage in Friday night's loss to the New Jersey Titans, the Revolution went 2-for-4 today and combined for four power play goals in nine opportunities in this weekend's two-game home stand.

The penalty killing unit continued to stay consistently strong, going 5-for-5 in today's contest.  The Revolution's success rate on the man disadvantage is now at 88.0 percent, good for fifth overall in the league.

Scoring for the Junior Warriors were forwards Tracy twice and Van Sullivan and Troy Sutherland with one goal apiece.  Goaltender Matt Penta earned his first win of the season in net, stopping 30 of 33 shots against.

The EHL squad's next game is on Sunday October 13 on the roadnagainst the Northern Cyclones at 9:20 AM.  Fans can stream the game live on FastHockey.com.

"It's going to be important for us to figure out what we are going to do the next time we play on the ice," said Coach Laux.  "How we play in the first five minutes of the game cannot be different from how we play in the second and third periods."
